Friendship, art, and passion.
Born of a friendship of many years and from extensive collaboration in cultural activities, including art exhibits, opera production and film development, Michele Giacalone and Luca Verdone have united to form GIAVER, a new film production company, based in the USA and Italy.
Giacalone, with dual citizenship in the US and Italy, and Verdone, a prominent Italian film director living in Rome, will combine their considerable talents and experience in making films of high quality even with low-cost budgets.

Michael Giacalone
Passionate about art, movies and opera, Michael Giacalone has over twenty years of professional experience spanning public affairs and government relations. He possesses both outstanding organizational skills as well as an in-depth knowledge of international affairs and effective business practices.
Luca Verdone
Luca Verdone pursued his studies in History of Art and graduated in Modern Literature in 1978. Since 1973 he has been a director of documentaries and television shows. From 1977 on he has taken part in some opera productions for important opera seasons, and he has also been a feature films director since 1986.
